A Grayson man is facing charges after Police say he was impersonated a Police Officer. According to information, a 911 call came in around 1 PM Tuesday, July 10 about a man chasing a woman across Winchester Avenue in Ashland. The 911 caller said the man was wearing a t-shirt and plaid shorts. When Police arrived on scene, they found the man, identified as 46 year-old Thomas Boggs of Grayson, standing in the 1500 block of Winchester Avenue. Boggs originally told Police he was a KSP Trooper., but when Police asked for the man’s credentials, Boggs claimed he was working undercover and didn’t have the credentials on him. Boggs also told the Officers he was working directly for a Circuit Court judge in Carter Co. Ashland Police contacted KSP and confirmed Boggs is not a Trooper or a Police Officer. Boggs was arrested and charged with impersonating a peace officer. He is in the Boyd Co Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond.
